My love of stones began as a young boy looking for pebbles over miles of beach in my home state of Michigan. I started cutting and polishing stones while recuperating from a car accident and staying with friends in Colorado who owned a turquoise mine. My hobby turned into a lifestyle as I have been creating jewelry and participating in juried art fairs for over forty years.
My work, primarily in 14K gold, is a mixture of fabrication, various casting techniques, lapidary for inlay pieces, and unusual cabochon cuts. Each piece is individually designed and constructed to be simple yet elegant, to focus on the beauty of nature, and be durable and comfortable to wear.
I live with my lovely wife on a fifty acre nature preserve with our menagerie of spoiled dogs and cats. We enjoy watching the wild birds that come to our feeders, growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers, and cooking delicious meals.
I create my jewelry in my Dexter studio with the help of two talented assistants. Please enjoy browsing my website and contact me for further information. Thank you.
